Job Title: Supply Chain Planner - Major Accounts
Location: Birmingham
Salary: �28, 000 per annum
Hours: 9-5 (Some out of hours work required)
Adecco are proud to be working with a successful Client in Birmingham who currently supply thousands of quality house, dining and kitchenware items to companies across the UK and eighty other countries. They are looking for a hardworking and efficient Supply Chain Planner to be responsible for the day-to-day management of items being sent out to their major customers.
Your main duties will include but are not limited to:
* Management of customer forecast, reservation and direct ship orders, ensuring that maximum stock availability is maintained for the accounts.
* Meet with customers to discuss forecasting and logistical requirements, ensuring that a constant dialogue is maintained with the account managers so they are kept well informed on project progress.
* Build good relationships with our vendors, raise purchase orders as appropriate and ensure follow-up with the vendors and respective freight forwarding agents to ensure goods are delivered within agreed crucial time frames.
* Some responsibility for looking after day-to-day supply management of a number of core range and product vendors where there is a high cross-over with National Account supply.
Other:
* Assistance during busy periods with working beyond the standard hours for this role.
* Aim for continuous improvements in all areas.
* Adhere to H&S regulations.
The ideal candidate will be from an FMCG or housewares industry background, with experience within Supply Chain. You will also possess the following:
* Able to interpret customer forecasts in large multi source formats.
* Familiar with dealings with a far-east supplier base and knowledge of shipping and UK Clearance procedures.
* Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Access, outlook and excellent Excel skills.
* Experience in KPI factors of Stock Availability, Stock Turn and Inventory Value.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
Strong character - be objective and able to manage confrontational situations.
* Eager to learn and develop.
