We are looking for a TECHNICIAN to work Monday to Friday 42 hours a week at a large blue chip company. You ensure the smooth running and maintenance of key production equipment with specialist engineering knowledge. Responsible for preventative maintenance and electrical testing, including advanced fault finding and problem solving.

Responsibilities will include: -
Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of all process, packaging and plant equipment
Capable of fault finding and problem solving (advanced) - PLC Level
Shift cover, in Block Reliability Manager's absence
Coaching and supporting the Manufacturing Technician (MT) group to develop their technical skills
Specialist engineering knowledge and involvement in minor projects
Responsible for co-ordination of contractors and contracts including issuing of PTW
Able to analyse data and trends to identify route cause of failures and put in place corrective actions and justifications
Responsible for preventative maintenance, electrical inspections, electrical testing and adherence to the PepsiCo electrical policy
Responsible for completing specialist tasks including confined space, gas, working at height, once training given.

Experience Required/Behavioural
Electrical qualification, time served electrical engineer OR Walkers level 3 sign off (17th Edition, 2394 and 2395)
Mechanically competent
Able to lead a team of people
Experienced in high volume continuous production environment with PLC, pneumatic control with a high mechanical aptitude
Excellent diagnostic skills - including lean, six sigma and APS
Understanding of SCADA control systems, computer systems, networking
Demonstrate analysis and problem solving capabilities
Excellent influencing, presentation, communication and decision making skills
Ability to appropriately prioritise multiple tasks using initiative
Strong team player who adopts a continuous improvement approach
