Senior Finance Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant based in Wolverhampton to manage all aspects of financial management onsite including assisting in the production of monthly management accounts

Duties Include but are not limited to:

*Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and Management Information pack to PLC reporting deadlines.
*Assist in the preparation of the monthly profit bridges including explanations of variances to forecast, budget and prior year.
*Work with the Finance Manager to ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place.
*Recommend improvements to existing processes and consistently drive process improvement.
*Working cross functionally with the business to ensure processes are being monitored and stakeholders are held to account
*Financial control of customer rebates including balance sheet reconciliation and approval of payments.
*Supporting the month end process including journal postings, and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
*Ensure Group Rules are adhered to.
*Work with the Finance Manager to manage and optimise cash flow.
*Work with the Finance Team to manage the capital expenditure process.
*Work with the F,P&A Manger to provide quality financial analysis to support new product, supply chain and pricing initiatives.

Skills/Experience Required:

*The successful individual will already have proven technical knowledge of accounting (ideally some sort of training or qualification already for example AAT or Part Qualified CIMA) in addition you in an accounting role and want to progress to the next level.
*Positive team player who can work with both finance and non finance colleagues and provide constructive challenge and creative thinking.
*Strong numeracy and financial modelling skills
*Excellent communication skills, especially to non-finance colleagues
*A strong inclination for and interest in system and process improvement. The individual must be capable of using their initiative to propose improvements
*Ability to form strong relationships across all levels
*Proactive approach with strong analysis, commercial and communication skills
*Experience in using Hyperion Financial Management package would be an advantage
