Responsibilities: Supporting the Consultation Team in carrying out public consultations and staff surveys
Are you looking for a role to help build your social research skills? This could be the job for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Support Officer to join the Chief Executive's department at the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth, supporting a busy Consultation Team.
About the team:
The Consultation Team works across the two boroughs, carrying out public consultations and staff surveys, analysing the results, and providing insight to officers. Their work is vital in helping the client understand the needs of our communities and make informed decisions to provide the best possible services.
About the role:
We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of questionnaire design and experience using Microsoft Excel to support the team in carrying out consultations. While experience conducting social research is desirable, it is not essential. As a fast learner, you will work well under pressure, prioritise a varied workload, and operate effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities will include:
* Building questionnaires based on customer needs using the client consultation software
* Monitoring responses and keeping colleagues up to date
* Creating paper copies of surveys when required
* Downloading questionnaire outputs and inputting them into report templates
* Assisting in the day-to-day running of the team by supporting other team members with administrative duties
To be shortlisted for an interview, your CV and support statement should demonstrate:
* A genuine interest in people and social research
* Up-to-date knowledge of technology and solid data analysis/critical thinking skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
* Experience in managing multiple tasks and delivering high-quality outputs
* An understanding of the need to consider accessibility, information security, and privacy requirements in your work, or a willingness to learn
Join our team and be part of shaping better services for our communities! Apply now by submitting your CV and support statement.
