Fantastic Opportunity - my Crewe based client is looking for Purchasing Support. This is an ongoing temporary role to start on Monday 17/09/18

Main Purpose of the role:

Provide Purchasing assistance to the Purchasing Team and liaise with suppliers and key internal customers

Role and Responsibilities

·  Sending out Requests for Quotation to suppliers; setting up and maintenance of Purchasing Master Data and Information Records in SAP with valid price, leadtime and all data entry fields to create a live part no. to be traded

·  Running reports and highlighting trends and action required in cooperation with the Purchasing Team to maintain Purchasing Master Data and Info records integrity

·  Liaise with Customer Service and Sales to provide fast and accurate responses to queries

·  Update and resolve Pricing Forum and Pricing Management System on a daily basis

·  Review and resolve price queries

·  Work with Engineering and Purchasing to support customers and suppliers to ensure the supply of materials and information

·  Resolve Invoice Queries and engage support from the Buyers where required

·  Liaise with Purchase Ledger/Accounts, Distribution Centre and other areas involved in the procure to pay transactional process

·  Update and maintain Vendor information in SAP

·  Prepare Monthly Board Pack of Procurement Performance

·  Investigate and prepare Purchase Requisition Report and ensure conversion of PRs with support of the Buyers where necessary

·  Present Purchase Requisition Report Daily

Essential Criteria

·  IT literate with good knowledge of SAP or other similar business system preferred

·  Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

·  Able to thrive in a fast changing and demanding work environment

·  Decisive and determined approach to achieve goals and performance criteria

·  Capable of working using their own initiative

Desirable Criteria

·  Experience of purchasing or similar fast paced performance driven area of work

Technical and Behavioural Competencies

·  Numerate

·  Assertive and able to perform and work with others to achieve the desired result and a high standard of performance

·  Able to maintain enthusiasm and commitment when working at pace to meet deadlines and peak workloads
