Production and Material Planner
Pay: £9.61ph
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Location: Northfield, Milton Keynes
Length of contract: 12 months

What you become a part of

You will become part of an energised, professional and mutually supportive planning team, in what can be a very fast moving, changeable environment. You will be working closely with the Production team at all levels, as well as the Central Planning Team and the clients suppliers.

What to expect

The role demands solid SAP/MRP knowledge, with respect to both Production Planning and Materials ordering. You will be responsible for building and maintaining plans for up to 9 production lines, running 24/7. These plans are highly changeable, potentially within 24 hours of production start-up, in reaction to network and ultimately customer demands, as communicated by the Central Planning Team.

Within the SAP/MRP environments your responsibilities will include:

*Build plans using the Detailed Scheduling Planning Board function in SAP, in line with requests from Central, taking into account pre-determined batch sizes
*Propose more efficient plans where applicable, with particular focus on yield, labour, energy and water savings
*Liaise with the Syrup Process Area to ensure the availability of concentrates and ingredients
*Liaise with material suppliers to ensure the availability of raw materials, and their return if required
*Manage delivery slots in order to maintain the Raw Materials Warehouse at a manageable stock holding level
*Make immediate amendments to the Plan as required
*Liaise with other sites to arrange material movements when circumstances require

Given time you will also be expected to cross skill into the Labour Planner, Production Reconciler and Master Data functions within the Planning Team.

What we expect of you
Production planning experience in a similar environment
Solid SAP/MRP planning knowledge
External supplier management/customer contact experience
Excellent pro-active communication skills Application
