We are working with a leading engineering consultancy in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area, who are currently seeking three skilled Planners intermediate to senior to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly-respected organisation that specialises in planning and consultancy services.
As a Planner, you will be responsible for providing planning expertise, conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and working closely with project teams to ensure successful project delivery. You will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate complex planning regulations and contribute to the development of sustainable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting planning assessments and providing technical advice to clients
Coordinating and managing the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
Working closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered in line with planning requirements
Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and other relevant parties
Conducting site visits and assessments
Providing recommendations to clients based on research, analysis, and expertise
Staying up to date with industry regulations and best practises
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience in planning and consultancy within the engineering industry
Strong knowledge of EIA regulations and processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications
Full UK driving licence is required
The successful candidates will be offered a permanent contract with an annual salary ranging from £30,000 to £60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Our client provides a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and career progression.
