An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Performance and Business Intelligence Analyst to join a public sector organisation based in East London.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience of compiling and submitting statutory returns. The successful candidate would ideally have experience performance monitoring within a public sector organisation.

The main purpose of the role will be to manage a performance and business intelligence function, leading a team of Performance and Business Intelligence Analysts and Officers, specifically focused on providing high quality performance and business intelligence analysis, knowledge management and data assurance, to ensure that strategic and operational decisions are taken based on robust empirical evidence.

Key duties will include:
- Create and maintain various dashboards, performance metrics and reporting packages that provide management with actionable, high quality performance data and management information to inform effective decision making
- Ensure statutory returns to central Government, other organisation departments and inspectors/auditors are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
- Make recommendations to improve performance against targets. Assist in the identification and resolution of issues and risks that impact on the performance of the services.
- Ensure effective monitoring and follow up in relation to key performance indicators (KPIs), including by attending monthly liaison meetings.
- Analyse key trends impacting on the services, including demographic changes.
- Support the service to develop their annual service plan and any related section plans, particularly ensuring that all performance indicators are meaningful and measurable. Monitor the delivery of these plans throughout the year, including producing performance exception reports
- Support the preparation of data for inspections, audits and external investigation
- Develop and deliver robust quality assurance systems and oversee processes for addressing data quality issues
- Support managers and teams to understand complex matters through provision of high quality and accurate and data business intelligence analysis
- Collecting and reporting the required range of measures and statistical returns.
