Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Location: Christchurch
Salary: Circa £25k D.O.E (Some overtime will also be available dependant on workload)
Hours: Mon - Fri 8-4:30
Start Date: ASAP

My Client is a highly successful large Facilities Management company with sites all over the country. They are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team on their Christchurch site on a permanent basis.

Duties of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will include (but not be limited to):

* Undertake maintenance and reactive activity, to a wide range of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services equipment including but not limited to general lighting, building controls, small power and distribution heating, boilers, pumps, sanitary ware(eg. Hand Dryers), fan coil and air handling units and BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises.

* Carry out general plumbing, painting, carpentry requirements

* Be an essential part of the local team who will ensure the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services equipment on the site.

* Take part in a rota to provide a reactive maintenance service outside operating hours of the site.

* To undertake weekend/out of hours working to complete intrusive maintenance activities that cannot be undertaken in client operating hours.

* Working in line with the Permit to Work System.

The ideal Candidate will possess:

* Experience in a similar position in a commercial environment.
* HND/NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* IOSH Passport or CSCS Card.
* Preferred but not essential - C&G 2382-12 (17th Edition BS7671:2008).
* Experience of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM).
* Excellent communications both written and verbal.
* Numerate and computer literate.
* Own transport and prepared to travel to other sites on a rare occasion.
