Our global manufacturing client in the heart of Gloucester is recruiting for 2 Operatives on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to work for a company that can provide on the job training and a clear progression plan that will see you start on a trainee pay rate of £10.26 with the potential overtime to work up to £13.12.

HOURS OF WORK: After training will be a 2 shift rotating pattern: 6 am - 6 pm and 6 pm - 6 am, 42 hours per week over 2 weeks.

Job Role
* Read job specification sheets and obtain all applicable tools and materials.
* Set up machine to run jobs. Ensure stock levels are maintained to ensure continuous running of machines
* Carrying out machine adjustments as needed
* Ensure target output is achieved with excellent quality and compliance to customer requirements and quality standards
* Identify and promptly reporting any equipment malfunction, material, safety, and or quality issues.
* Work closely with other members of the team to assure a cooperative and friendly atmosphere with regard to the daily activities of production.
* Complete forms and quality measurements per production run.
* Performing special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel.
* The role will entail close attention to detail & a moderate level of lifting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Reduction in scrap
*Improve yields
*Maintain stock levels
*Starting up and stopping extrusion lines
*Monitoring and maintaining profile specifications
*Operating additional foaming and secondary processes
*Packing Profile
*Keep a clean, tidy, organised work area

KEY SKILLS
* Previous experience in production or manufacturing.
* Experience in machine set up would be desirable
* Flexible attitude, willing to take on new challenges,
* Be able to work safely and take pride in their work.
* Reliable, have an excellent timekeeping/attendance record
* Be capable of working within a high demand, fast paced manufacturing environment.
* To ensure quality products are produced, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

This is a 12 weeks temp to perm opportunity. On satisfactory completion of 12 weeks you will then be taken on a permanent basis. The below benefits will apply once you have been taken on permanently.
