Job title: Machine Operative

Location: Whitstable, Kent

Pay rate: £11.45 per hour

Contract: Temporary to permanent position

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4:10pm, 8am-4pm Friday

Breaks : Morning break 10:05-10:15 (paid) and lunch 12:55-1:15pm (un-paid)

The role we are recruiting for is a Machine Operative in a factory environment, working for a ventilating equipment manufacturer specialising in air handling units, to chilled beams, fire dampers, air diffusers and chillers.

Duties:

·  Operating a press or punch machine.

·  Prepare the press or punch machine for operation by adjusting settings such as speed, pressure and tooling.

·  Load raw materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.

·  Inspect the first few pieces produced for quality.

·  Start and stop the press or punch machine as needed.

·  Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating and inspecting the machine.

We'd love to speak to candidates who have:

·  General factory, engineering or manufacturing experience.

·  Happy to work in a role that involves hands on, physical duties such as lifting and manual handling.

·  Willing to work on an early start fixed shift - Once probation period has been completed.

·  Excellent timekeeping and reliable.

·  Willing to learn.
