Adecco Poole and Bournemouth are delighted to be assisting one of our local clients in their search for a Firearms Enquiry Officer.

This role is a contract role for 6 months.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking enquiries to support the effective control of firearms and ammunition to ensure public safety and full compliance with legislation.

Responsibilities

·  Undertaking visits to applicants premises to ensure appropriate storage of firearms and ammunition

·  Interviewing applicants over suitability to hold firearms

·  Present evidence in court and at other hearings

·  Managing an appointment diary via Outlook

·  Prepare and present case files

·  Provide specialist advice and knowledge

The Ideal Candidate

·  Investigative experience

·  Strong IT skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook

·  Proven experience of decision making

·  Effective communications

·  Problem solving experience
