FINANCE OFFICER

SUTTON

MONDAY- FRIDAY 9AM- 5PM

3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT

£12 HOURLY RATE

ASAP START

This position is located within the Adoption and Permanence Service. The main role of this position is to carry out financial assessment calculations for Special Guardianship carers and occasionally Adoption Allowances.

Main duties will include:

·  To process payments and invoices in a timely manner

·  To be vigilant in preventing errors and fraud and immediately notify the relevant manger

·  To negotiate but sensitively with colleagues, providers, partner agencies and service users in resolving financial queries

·  To provide accurate and regular budget reports and advice to the Head of Service and other managers

·  To update, query and report from databases holding client information

·  To work co-operatively and flexibly with the other Finance staff in Children's Services

The ideal candidate will have:

·  Experience within a financial background

·  Excellent organisational skills

·  Excellent analytical skills

·  Experience of working within a busy team

·  Experience with interacting with other service users
