Adecco are proud to be working with our Client based in Hythe who are seeking an Export Operations Clerk to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a company to grow and develop your career. There are great progression opportunities within the business and this role is very varied, allowing you to have the freedom to work closely with other departments therefore you will not solely be based at your desk.

Your main duties for this role will be as follows:

·  Speaking to customers on the phone

·  Data Entry - accurately entering product details onto the database

·  Liaise with international agents via telephone and email

·  Communication with warehouse staff to ensure correct goods are going out for delivery

·  Planning - Deciding which job goes onto which trailer

·  Updating clients with any vehicles that are running behind schedule on delivery

·  Receiving collection orders from agents

·  Calling the customer and advising them of their order number and delivery plans

·  Collecting job notes from the warehouse which need to be returned to the export team

·  Progress onto planning trailers for delivery

The ideal Candidate:

·  Be able to prioritise work load to meet deadlines

·  Previous experience within transport or freight would be desirable but not essential

·  Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

·  Confident dealing with drivers via phone

·  Forward thinking

·  Work well under pressure as this is a very busy role

·  Must work well as a team as this company believe that a company shared is a problem solved and as a team, you will come in together and leave together

·  Other languages are desirable but not essential.

In return for the above, you will be working the below hours:

Monday to Thursday - 9am-5pm

Friday - 9am-5pm ( every other week you will do a later shift which will be 12-8pm or 2-10pm )

Saturday - 1 Saturday in every 5, if you work a Saturday you will have the following Monday off.

Salary:

£18,000 - £22,000 depending on experience, this may be flexible.
