This is an exciting opportunity to join our client as a Direct Payments Officer based in the area of Hounslow.

Start date: ASAP
36 hours Mon to Fri (08:45:AM - 05:00:PM)
Salary: £14.81 - 16.81

To support people to exercise choice and control in planning how they will use their Direct Payments, by providing them with clear advice and information and/or helping them to arrange services so that they manage their Direct Payments effectively.

To be responsible for all financial administration functions for the Direct Payments including, setting up of payments, activating/deactivation and deferring care packages (Brokering).

Responsible for financial monitoring of Direct Payments to ensure funds are used appropriately, flagging up concerns about the way that funds are used by providing Managers, Social Workers with accurate, relevant and timely information.

Able to visit clients in their homes or an appropriate place as agreed
Deal with complex cases for all Adult groups, children with disabilities, continuing Health care clients etc
Monitoring/auditing of care packages - money spent on care
High level communication written and spoken
High level organisational skills to include working on own initiative/supporting team
Advanced IT skills/ Excel and financial systems such Agresso (Hounslow use World on)
Abel to drive to carry out client visits/meetings - pool care available

Carry out surveys, participation monitoring, door knocking and other activities to help support the development of improvements to the waste and recycling services.
