Adecco are looking for a talented graduate for a Data Analyst role based in Newbury paying a starting salary of £22,000 working Monday to Friday office hours.

The main purpose of the role is to analyse, manage and interpret data for clients to make informed decisions. This vacancy will suit a bright and motivated highly numerate graduate or a graduate with some work experience.

·  Candidate must have a strong attention to detail and numerate, and can quality check their own work to ensure that data anomalies/mistakes are caught prior to delivery of the analysis to the client teams. Candidate must be self-aware & can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a high standard of quality

·  Hands on, problem solving abilities - "can do" approach (so someone who is a thinker and a doer)

·  Excellent communication skills - written and spoken - able to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

·  Listen to people and ask the right questions to find their 'need'

·  The individual must be a good team player, organised and pay meticulous attention to detail, highly numerate and enthusiastic with good analytical skills.

·  Excellent communication skills are essential together with a positive and enthusiastic approach. Strong teamwork skills, time management, motivation and ability to work autonomously.

·  Desire to work in a growing business and therefore flexible to new challenges.

It might suit someone working in an accounts role and maybe some good GCSEs or/and A levels equivalent.

Responsibilities as a Graduate Data Analyst

·  Effectively evaluate, analyse and manipulate data from a variety of sources for analysis using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL and in-house software

·  Provide highly accurate data analysis, ensuring that data is recorded accurately and is correct

·  Managing multiple client workloads

·  Management and control of database

·  General consultancy including liaison with clients and responding to client queries

·  Continual personal development

·  Work as part of a team to evaluate and analyse key data that will be used to shape future business strategies

·  Articulate results of data analysis to various internal groups, stakeholders and clients; translate technical results to a non-technical audience. Be fully autonomous and self-motivated in making processes as efficient as possible

·  Ensure a common and consistent data standard & best practice is deployed

·  Build and develop relationships with the client team, ensuring that client and overall data proposition is being delivered and relevant

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. As part of our data team, you may be required to work off-hours or be on-call on a rotating basis from time to time. Other duties may be assigned, as needed. The role will report to the team leader, and involves working closely with all team members.
