✨ About the Role:

As a Commissioning and Contracts Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering a range of commercial and commissioning services to a consistently high standard. With your expertise in contract management and service specifications, you will ensure value for money and commercial viability to meet the needs of our local communities and the council's priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Develop and implement enhanced business management practises for contract compliance and improved commercial performance.

·  Support the efficient and timely move-on from various commissioned accommodation services.

·  Collaborate with providers, partners, customers, and colleagues to develop personalised and flexible services.

·  Ensure strategic resource planning, procurement, and commissioning to deliver a cost-effective and efficient service.

·  Provide expertise on commercial performance management and reporting, improving outcomes for positive move-on from commissioned accommodation services.

·  Analyse current practises, benchmark against models, and maintain consistency.

·  Oversee the production of effective and accurate management information.

·  Engage effectively with stakeholders to ensure the highest standard of service delivery.

Key Requirements:

·  Experience in contract management of commissioned services.

·  Proven ability to manage and improve performance in line with service specifications and KPIs.

·  Good communication, planning, and organising skills.

·  Understanding of the issues around homelessness and housing in Manchester.

·  Commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.
