Very pleased to be working along side this very successful ever growing machine shop, who specialise in sub contract work for a number of big name clients, with around 30 lads on their shop floor they are now looking to add a new CNC Programmer to their ranks who is experienced enough to take a supervisory role and will be able to train other staff in best turning practices and procedures.

One of the most friendly and inviting engineering firms in our area who provide, training, progression and have all new tooling on hand at all times.

This is mostly a workshop based position however a desk will be given to a successful candidate as they will need to manage some office based duties such as offline programming and production planning with management.

This is a permanent days position with the hours being between 7.30 and 5.pm however management are flexible as long as the person gets his hours in over the week.

an excellent knowledge of CNC turning is required, this includes:

CNC Programming, both online and offline

supervising other members of staff and showing up to date and correct engineering techniques

working with the management team, planning and deciding how a certain job will be done effectively and efficiently

working to tight tolerances

working with a range of materials, from BDMS to stainless and exotics such as inconels

my client is looking for a skilled and competent offline programmer who is also able to edit turning programs on the machine panel who is looking to take the next step in their career and get into management.

for this days only position my client is looking at offering an hourly rate of around £14.50-£15 an hour with plenty of overtime available paid at a higher rate
