Adecco Durham has a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering company as a Quality Technician/Inspector to join their team.

Our client is a market leader in their field supplying clients locally, nationally and internationally with a proven quality and service record.

This is a permanent role and my client offers a competitive salary dependent on experience. Please note this is a day and night shift role and the hours of employment are:

Contracted to 37.5 hours per week, working a two-shift pattern:

Days - Monday to Thursday - 8.00am till 4.30pm & Friday - 8.00am till 1.30pm

Nights - Monday to Thursday - 10.00 pm till 8.00 am

The role would start on a day shift initially.

The salary is dependent on experience - £8.83 to £10.60 Per hour

The Role :

·  Reporting directly to the Production Managers you will work as an integral part of the machine shop holding responsibility for operating CNC machines

·  Responsible for the efficient operation of the CNC machines.

·  Achieving or improving upon planned standard times and quality levels through program improvements.

·  Interpretation of engineering drawings to ensure optimal programs are created and products are produced as effectively as possible to the required quality standards.

·  Working with a range of materials.

·  Supporting the training of apprentices and trainees.

·  Programming on Fanuc controls.

The ideal candidate will have the following :

·  Solid CNC operating experience

·  Able to set, operate and programme machines with Fanuc controls

·  Time served / City and Guilds or equivalent

·  Proven ability to work accurately with attention to detail.

·  Self disciplined and reliable

·  Ideally completed a completed a relevant apprenticeship but not essential
