Job Details

To provide administrative and project support to Cabinet Members of the County Council in relation to managing, organising, prioritising and co-ordinating their programme of portfolio commitments. To manage correspondence, diary commitments and ensure that the Cabinet Members receive briefings, background papers and speeches in advance of meetings and engagements.
Role Purpose including key outputs
Working directly with Cabinet Members, this role is at the heart of the county council, ensuring key members have the support to operate effectively. This will include working closely and collaboratively with the Business Manager - Leader, Cabinet Policy Advisers and the CLT support team and other corporate areas across the council - including, Policy and Strategy, Democratic Services, Communications, Democratic Services, service areas and the Transformation Hub. Given the sensitive nature of the work, the post holder will need to maintain a high level of confidentiality and iscretion, together with the ability to enable successful relationships with key contacts.
