Adecco are recruiting for an Assistant Merchandise Planner based in Welwyn Garden City Hertfordshire , the role is 36 hours a week Monday to Friday. The role is a temp role covering Maternity leave for a minimum of 6 months with an immediate start.

You will support the Merchandising Planning Manager to ensure products arrive at the place and at the right time

You will be accountable for -

-Providing merchandising support to keep the department running smoothly, preparing analysis for my manager (incl. Monday trade analysis) and liaising with the HSC Merchandising team.
- Collating and share insight so I can understand what our customers want and markets trends
- Helping build balanced ranges for our department that help meet sales, stock and profit targets
- Overseeing order management critical paths, line projections and ensuring our ranging databases are accurate
- Managing delivery schedules to ensure product availability and support new launches and events
- Producing weekly sub class Weekly Sales Stock Intake (WSSI) and line flows which helps my manager track sales, margin and stock across regions and channels
- Preparing analysis which helps my manager to manage risk, suggesting stock and markdown management opportunities
- Scheduling and implementing promotions and markdowns across all channels and regions
- Resolving or escalating supply chain/ replenishment issues, helping the team to hit our stock and availability targets

- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

Experience relevant for this role -

- FMCG retailer (ideally multichannel)
- Full category cycle (from planning, to launch and to exit management)
- Report preparation and analysis

Operational skills relevant for this role

- Data analysis and numeracy
- MS Office (esp. Excel)
- Merchandising systems
