We are currently recruiting for an administrator to work at The London Borough of Ealing within the Representation Of The People team.

The Role

As the administrator at You will play an important role of Undertaking a full range of administrative tasks relating to maintaining an accurate and complete register of electors, and those necessary for delivering successful elections and referenda. Dealing with general enquiries from the public, providing advice or guidance by phone, email or in person.

Location:Ealing Civic Centre

Hours: 35 hours Mon to Fri (09:00:AM - 05:00:PM

Duration: 3 Months

Rate of Pay: £13.69 per hour

Who are we looking for?

As the Administrator for the Representation Of The People team at The London Borough of Ealing we are looking for someone who has:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Receive, open, check and sort registration and absent voting application forms

2. Process application forms, including determining the legitimacy of applications, scanning and data entry, applying the appropriate flags and elector categories

3. To deal with correspondence, telephone and personal enquiries on electoral registration matters and provide expert advice to members of the public, politicians, and officers within the Council.

4. Assist with the administration of application forms which have either failed verification or are otherwise incomplete, including contacting the applicant verbally or in writing, and the subsequent checking, review and copying of returned documents.

5. Process elector removals arising from statutory notices from the Registrar of Deaths and/or other Electoral Registration Officers.

6. Assist in the filing of registration and absent voting application forms and notices

7. To assist in the provision of equipment and stationery for polling stations and the counting of votes.

8. To assist with the preparation and checking of postal packs for the issue and opening of postal votes

9. Assist in the preparation and checking of official election notices, polling cards, ballot papers and other election documentation and materials.

10. To be confident and competent with regard to new technology and to be fully conversant with the use of Election Management Systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, AGRESSO, Word/Excel/PowerPoint and the Internet.

11. To be prepared to assist with manual handling tasks such as the movement of ballot boxes, polling booths, ballot papers and other election equipment.

12. To ensure that all service delivery maintains a strong sense of customer focus and meets/promotes the Council's equality and diversity policies.
