We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Finance team for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the Credit Control Department, based at the Brewery in Chiswick.

The role will involve dealing with all aspects of Sales Ledger & Credit Control requirements within the company's functions, Route to Market, Unlicensed Accounts and Wine. Also including a range of administrative duties for Credit Control & Traditional Free Trade.

The successful candidate will be responsible for minimising debt risk for the Company and maximising the Company's cash flow opportunity, keeping queries and outstanding debts to a minimum whilst avoiding write offs. They will also need to ensure that all monies due to the Company are received by accurate invoicing, crediting and monitoring.

Key duties of the role are:

*Releasing goods for delivery or collection within a given deadline of 11.00 am each day
*Taking card and cash payments, checking the FST bank account daily for payments
*Daily Direct Debit processing
*Checking the BACS system on a daily basis for returned direct debits or account changes
*Raising invoices and credits for ad-hoc or repeating rents, insurance charges, deposits, letting fees, etc. on unlicensed accounts
*Setting up, maintaining and closing Unlicensed accounts
*Dealing with equipment and cash loans
*Dealing with in and out payments/posting for Petty Cash and reconciling on a monthly basis
*Preparing and sending out monthly reports

This is a diverse role that requires someone who can manage a variety of tasks with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience within a Credit Control or Sales Ledger role, along with experience of working in a varied Accounts Assistant / Administrator position. A solid grasp of Microsoft Office packages is necessary, as is the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. High levels of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
