The Role
The role will involve developing and building upon your technical abilities, ideally with some level of PLC programming already. We would expect from your time spent at university or further study, that you will have prior exposure to basic PLC programming. If you have experience of other programming languages i.e. C++, C# or Java, this would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
The role will suit a more practical person that wishes to create a varied career in programming software and likes to be more hands on and see machinery move based upon their software creation. The role does involve the use of small hand tools whilst on site for the moving of sensors in the field and will involve electrical fault finding and commissioning
You will see the software process from concept to completion
Which will include some time spent in the office writing documentation and programming software to being on customer sites commissioning the equipment. This will involve time away from home both domestically and internationally, therefore flexibility to travel is essential.
Desired profile
This opportunity would suit a computer science graduate or similar with university experience in programming languages: C++, C# or Java
PLC programming experience in any brand highly advantageous
You must be able to write documentation concisely and use MS office suite
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven team-player who enjoys learning new skills.
