Actemium Design is a national Engineering design company with a Nuclear sector focus. Being part of Vinci ENERGIES with a turnover of €14 billion, has allowed Actemium Design to grow in an exciting but secure manner. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our Whitehaven team. The ideal candidate will have several years of Project Management experience within the Nuclear industry.

The Role

• Ethics: Promoting the public wider good in all actions, acting in a morally, legally and socially appropriate manner in dealings with stakeholders and members of Actemium Design teams and the organisation.
• Determining the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of project objectives and constraints i.e. developing solutions.
• Preparing and maintaining schedules of activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.
• Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect their projects.
• Developing, maintaining, and applying quality management processes for project activities and outputs.
• Ensuring appropriate contracts are in place and aligned with Actemium Design governance.
• Ensuring appropriate change control mechanisms are in place aligned to Actemium Design governance.
• Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities, that align with organisational procedures & practice.
• Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and interests.
• Empowering and inspiring others to deliver.

Desired profile

The Person

• Several years of experience in project and portfolio management in the nuclear industry, or in similar highly regulated industries
• Project management of one or a number of larger projects (typical individual project value >£250k) to ensure safe, systematic and profitable delivery, and to ensure that customer requirements are consistently met.
