Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Stewarding Supervisor to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our kitchen and food service areas. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

·  Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the stewarding team, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards
·  Train and mentor stewarding staff on proper procedures, equipment usage, and chemical handling
·  Assist in creating and managing staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage
·  Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas, dishwashing stations, and equipment to maintain cleanliness and functionality
·  Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols
·  Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and kitchen equipment
·  Coordinate with other departments to support smooth kitchen operations and event setups
·  Implement and maintain quality control measures for cleanliness and sanitation
·  Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues
·  Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for the stewarding department
·  Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

·  Minimum of two years' recent experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a high-volume setting
·  At least one year of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
·  Food Safety Level 2 certification or equivalent (essential)
·  COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) certification or willingness to obtain
·  Secondary school diploma or equivalent
·  Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
·  Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
·  Excellent organisational and time management skills
·  Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently
·  In-depth knowledge of safe working procedures for hazardous materials and kitchen equipment
·  Proven track record of achieving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
·  Impeccable personal grooming and presentation
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
·  Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes in a kitchen environment
·  Familiarity with health and safety regulations specific to food service operations
·  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
·  Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg when necessary
