What you will be doing:
· You, alongside another staff cook will work Monday to Friday and be provided a monthly menu and amazing quality product to produce meals for Lunch and Dinner services for approximately 375 people.
· Daily salad bar, sandwich mise en place, hot protein and vegetarian options, fresh vegetables, starch, and appropriate sauces.
· Reheating daily soup options provided to you by our production team
· Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
· Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Creative and passionate about food and customer service
· Able to work in a high-pressure environment
· Knives skills
· Ability to do a variety of knives cuts consistently and precisely
· Ability to read, understand and follow recipes within the guidelines
· Ability to read a prep list and determine in what sequence of order job should be complete
· Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently to ensure job complete
· Ability to listen, follow directions precisely to achieve the end result
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
· Must be Food Safe Certified
· A neat, well-groomed appearance as per hotel standards
· Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
· Previous experience in a luxury hotel and restaurant environment is an asset
· Career minded with strong personal initiative and a desire to achieve the department’s vision and goal
