Job Description

·  Record all electric, water, and gas consumption meter readings as required.
·  To carry out various repairs and maintenance items as required and maintain records in systems provided.
·  To carry out as required the Hotel’s planned maintenance program.
·  Carry out any assigned task of a reasonable nature in the Hotel.
·  Liaise with other departments in matters dealing with environment control, fire and safety.
·  Prepared to perform relieving duties as required.
·  Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer in the day to day operation of the maintenance requirements of the hotel.
·  Assist in the keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
·  On completion of daily rounds sign off any relevant section of the Maintenance Manuals.
·  Liaise with the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
·  Complete all tasks where possible within a 15 minute time frame of receiving the request.
·  Report back to relevant department Manager, Manager on Duty or Front Office the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest related.
·  Follow established safety rules, WH&S regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
·  Be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours, as required.

Qualifications

·  1-2 Years’ experience in similar role and hotel experience.
·  Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
·  Always displays a professional appearance, representing our Sofitel brand. 
·  Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, nights and public holidays.
·  Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
