· Pay Rate: $80 – $85k / year
Job Description
As the Senior Staff Accountant, you will assist in the following areas in accounting:
Prepare:
· Payroll journal entries.
· F&B analyses & allocation entries.
· Staff allocation entries.
· Daily / Monthly credit card reconciliation.
Review:
· Daily Income Journals & share revenue reports.
· Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable accruals.
Procurement :
· Follow status of PO’s in BirchStreet.
· Creation / modification of suppliers info in BirchStreet / SUN.
Lead:
· Supervise G/L Accountant; cross-train on income audit and A/R functions
Other :
· Conduct monthly inventories.
· Support ADOF with management of department’s daily operations
· Processes daily credit card deposits
· Research and process customer claims of invoice payments
· Answer accounts receivable phone inquiries and follow-ups. Calls and / or mail correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts
· Internal Audit spot checks.
· Perform full income audits.
· Work with Sales on Groups/Catering invoicing
· Process and reconcile credit card chargebacks
· Post and allocate payments in PMS, as necessary
· Assist with related special projects, as required as it pertains to SOP compliance
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting required
· Strong verbal skills and must able to read English
· Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents
