Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Security, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Ensure the overall safety and security of the guests, colleagues and property premises
· Collaborate with Director of Security and Security Manager on ways to continually enhance departmental performance.
· Investigate and report any violations to law/property policy, occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crisis situations
· Establish and execute strong rapport, trust, and respect among Security team.
· Awareness of Fairmont Miramar activities/events each day and ensure a professional security presence is presented all while focusing on exceptional service.
· Conduct regular floor patrols, responding to guest or colleague calls for assistance, always ensuring emergencies.
· Assist with training new hires, ensuring successful onboarding program
· Collaborate with department heads to ensure smooth operations daily
· Ability to mentor, counsel, supervise and lead shift operations in the absence of Security Leadership
· Review all daily activity reports adhere to standards of Executive Committee & properly communicate any concerns to Security Agents
· Assist in and/ all emergency responses but not limited to earthquakes, fires, bomb threats, tsunami, civil unrest, and those deemed by Management
· Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED; 4 years’ experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 2 years experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area.
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Exceptional understanding of values, consisting of respect, integrity, trust, and always maintaining professional image at all times.
