Job Description

·  Conduct regular safety inspections throughout guest areas, back-of-house areas, kitchens, public areas, and other hotel facilities.
·  Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.
·  Monitor compliance with hotel health and safety policies, procedures, and standards.
·  Ensure emergency exits, fire doors, evacuation routes, and assembly points remain accessible and clearly marked.
·  Conduct routine checks of fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, emergency equipment, and other safety facilities.
·  Report any damaged, missing, or malfunctioning safety equipment to the relevant department.
·  Assist in responding to fire alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, and other emergency situations.
·  Support evacuation procedures and emergency drills as directed by the Safety or Security Management.
·  Record and report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions accurately and promptly.
·  Maintain safety inspection checklists, logs, and related documentation.
·  Follow up with relevant departments on reported safety issues and corrective actions.
·  Promote safe working practices among colleagues and contractors.
·  Assist with safety inductions and awareness sessions for new colleagues when required.
·  Ensure contractors and service providers comply with hotel safety requirements while working on-site.
·  Coordinate with Engineering, Security, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and other departments on health and safety matters.
·  Support compliance with applicable local health, safety, fire, and civil defense requirements.
·  Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling safety incidents and reports.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; a certificate or qualification in Occupational Health & Safety is an advantage.
Previous experience in a safety, health & safety, or hotel operations role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Basic knowledge of fire safety, emergency procedures, risk identification, and workplace safety.
Knowledge of applicable health and safety standards and regulations.
Good observation and attention to detail.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
Ability to remain calm and effective during emergency situations.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
OSHA certificat
