Key tasks
As a Reservations and Groups Coordinator Agent you will be responsible for recording and processing all reservation and group enquiries made by phone, fax or e-mail efficiently and accurately, maximising sales and room occupancy rates. You will have a good knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services and will pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Reservations and Groups Coordinator Agent
- Answer all reservation requests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Process all transactions of reservations by fax, letter or email where necessary
- Handle all reservation / Group requests from other departments in the hotel
- Process rooming lists and group blocks within the OPERA systems. Indicate all special requests and billing procedures
- File and process reservations correspondence
- Make certain all files are current and in order
Skills & Experience required by the Reservations Agent
- Previous hotel front office or reservations experience is preferable
- Previous customer service experience is essential
- A capability and commitment to delivering high levels of customer care
- A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Competency in the use of Opera
