Opening OCtober 2018, the Mercure Bridgwater Hotel is located in the heart of Bridgwater town centre and will offer 119 four star bedrooms, two meeting rooms and a gym.

The Hotel is complimented by a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill which is set to become a regional favourite for foodies and those looking for a touch a luxury, specialising in the very best in fresh seasonal produce served without fuss.

There will be no traditional reception desk in the hotel and our Reception team will act as hosts circulating the lobby to meet guests as they walk in establishing immediate personal contact and checking guests in using mobile phones.

We are recruiting for a Reception Manager to lead and motivate the Reception team, ensure that company high standards are delivered and guests’ expectations are exceeded.

Reception Manager main responsibilities:

-Ensure the smooth running of the front office departments
-Deliver a world-class customer service creating fantastic memories for our guests
-Deal with enquiries and complaints, oversea and participate in check in and check out
-Recruit, train and motivate the team, be responsible for performance management
-Ensure the team have a thorough knowledge of hotel products and services
- Implement policies and procedures and make sure it is followed at all times
-Achieve guest satisfaction and set rooms revenue goals
-Responsible for creating rota, ensuring that reception is manned to suit business needs and within budget

Reception Manager we are looking for someone who has:
-Previous experience within a similar role
-Friendly personality with a professional and positive approach
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-Confidence to plan and deliver pre-opening training to the team
-Be able to work well under the pressure and prioritise
-Efficient IT skills
