Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchasing Supervisor to join our Purchasing team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our procurement department, you will oversee purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
· Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints
· Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company
· Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
· Collaborate with department heads to determine purchasing needs and forecast demand
· Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier information
· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations
· Coordinate and conduct regular inventory audits with storeroom personnel
· Mentor and supervise junior purchasing staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
· Implement and maintain quality control measures for purchased goods and services
· Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality supply
· Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in procurement practices
· Local knowledge essential
Qualifications
· Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
· Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
· Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
· Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
· Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems
· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
· Familiarity with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards is a plus
· Knowledge of local suppliers and market conditions in Vietnam is highly desirable
