Billed as ‘the first luxurious integrated resort in Jeddah’, Rixos Obhur Jeddah will meet the increasing demand for luxurious hospitality paired with high-quality leisure activities in the area. The resort will host guests in 250 residential units, including 176 rooms and 74 villas, as well as a fine-dining restaurant, two specialty beach restaurants and a lounge bar. Among its many highlights will be an exclusive private beach. Other amenities are to include a central ballroom for events, meeting rooms, a fitness center, a spa, kids and teens clubs, and several swimming pools. All of this will be set amid green landscaping, golden beaches and a port.
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This position requires a collaborative professional who can lead purchasing initiatives while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
· Oversee and coordinate all purchasing activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and order placement
· Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to optimize procurement strategies
· Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill departmental purchasing needs
· Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
· Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and documentation
· Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards, including HACCP
· Train and mentor junior purchasing staff to improve team performance
· Evaluate and implement new procurement technologies and processes to enhance efficiency
· Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and maintain strong supplier relationships
Qualifications
· Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role
· Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· Strong analytical and negotiation skills
· Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
· Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems
· Understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Familiarity with local suppliers and regulations in Saudi Arabia is preferred
· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
