Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchasing Officer to join our team in Bogor, Indonesia. As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in our organization's procurement process, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services.
· Process and edit purchase requests from various departments
· Correspond with suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate favorable terms
· Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
· Maintain detailed records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries
· Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to identify the most cost-effective suppliers
· Proactively communicate with colleagues and suppliers regarding order status and resolve any issues
· Assist departments in raising purchase requests using company systems
· Follow up with the finance department for vendor payments and monitor advance payments
· Maintain positive relationships with suppliers
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain appropriate documentation
· Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings
· Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
· Minimum of one year of experience in a similar purchasing role
· Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
· Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., FMC systems) is a plus
· Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
· Proactive and efficient work ethic
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
· Excellent time management and prioritization abilities
· Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required
