We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef specializing in bakery operations to join our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India. As the Sous Chef (Bakery), you will play a crucial role in overseeing our bakery department, creating delectable pastries and baked goods, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity in our offerings.

·  Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily bakery operations and staff supervision
·  Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, focusing on both traditional and innovative baked goods
·  Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all bakery products
·  Train and mentor junior bakers and pastry chefs
·  Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
·  Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards
·  Collaborate with other kitchen departments to create cohesive menu offerings
·  Participate in menu planning, cost control, and budgeting for the bakery department
·  Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and flavors into the menu

Qualifications

·  Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on baking and pastry arts
·  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen
·  Previous experience in a leadership role (e.g., Head Baker, Pastry Chef)
·  Advanced knowledge of baking and pastry techniques, including bread making, cake decorating, and confectionery
·  Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
·  Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, with current Food Safety Certification
·  Excellent knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergen management
·  Proficient in operating and maintaining various kitchen and bakery equipment
·  Strong leadership and team management skills
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·  Creativity and passion for creating innovative baked goods and pastries
·  Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
