Job Description

We are currently seeking a  Part Time Cook  to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and assisting in food prep for our all day dining menu and cafe. 

This is a great role for someone studying cookery and wanting some experience in a kitchen or for an experienced cook wanting some extra hours.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

·  Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
·  Prepare food for all day dining and cafe
·  Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures 
·  Inform management of items needing to be ordered
·  Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during service 
·  Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the manager on duty 

 

Qualifications

Your Skills and experience include:

·  Experience in buffet breakfast service preferred
·  Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost
·  Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
·  Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
·  Have excellent planning and organisational skills
·  Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
