Rate of Pay: $33.86 per hour
Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Engineering, your main responsibility is the proper painting and drywall work of the interior/exterior of the hotel and to respond to all calls pertaining to hotel guest room repairs. Check on a daily basis all the lights in assigned area and repair/replace when needed.
What you will be doing:
· Monitor and maintain preventative maintenance program. Keep repair parts stocked for PM shift cart/supply.
· Painting and Drywall of interior/exterior of building
· Perform preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment as assigned.
· Ensure proper care and use of all Engineering equipment including all safety related procedures used when operating this equipment. This includes MSDS and lock out/tag-out procedures.
· Comply with all established procedures such as Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Out of Order Rooms, Emergencies, etc…
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Must be able to repair and replace wallpaper
· Previous experience in a hotel or related field is an asset
· Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
· Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
· Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team
Physical Aspects of the Position:
· Constant standing and walking throughout shift
· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
· Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
