Starting Pay Rate: $22.15 per hour

Job Description

This is a full-time position working the overnight shift, five nights a week.

To ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property.

·  Monitor property through foot patrols and watching security footage and observe, report, and follow up on safety and security concerns
·  Respond to and manage all emergencies including fire, medicals, and any potential threats to people or property
·  Maintain order in the hotel, including the on-site staff accommodations
·  Follow protocols and the law when responding to situations involving drugs and alcohol
·  Document through written reports all incidents, events, and actions taken
·  Follow up and investigate complaints and incidents
·  Assist other departments as necessary
·  Authorized to make any decisions necessary to effectively deal with security concerns and/or emergency situations

Qualifications

·  Previous security experience 
·  Valid Alberta security license issued under the Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act
·  Current First Aid and CPR level C certification
·  Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerits
·  Clean criminal record
