Overlooking the historic Bute East Dock, Novotel Cardiff Centre is for guests looking for style and comfort. It offers a quiet location close to many local attractions, including Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Bay and St David's Shopping Centre. Relax and unwind with our fantastic leisure facilities, including a gym, swimming pool and steam room. The on-site Customs Shed restaurant offers a mix of local and international cuisine, while the bar boasts a selection of beverages for you to relax and savour.

Our hotel is conveniently located for both rail and road travellers. It's just an 11-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and a 10-minute drive from the M4. If you're flying in, we're approximately 30 minutes away from Cardiff International Airport. Our facilities are perfectly tailored for business travellers. We've got ten fully equipped meeting rooms available, which can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The hotel makes a great base for anyone travelling further afield too. Brecon Beacons National Park, Caerphilly, Swansea and Bristol are within reach. The hotel is extremely convenient and caters to all types of trip.

Job Description

Novotel Cardiff Centre

The ideal candidate must be well-versed in a variety of cocktail recipes and techniques, with a strong ability to create and customize drinks to delight our guests. Seeking a skilled mixologist to craft innovative cocktails, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a vibrant bar atmosphere. Must possess extensive knowledge of spirits and mixology techniques. Creativity and teamwork essential. Passion for the craft is a must!

·  Behaves and acts in an exemplary fashion, embodying the brand mind set
·  Supervise the team of Food and Beverage Department, helping them improve their skills and providing support for career development
·  Handling any complaints immediately and sensibly, and keeps the manager informed.

Customer relations

·  Develops high quality relationships with guests, from the moment they arrive and throughout their stay, in order to foster loyalty.

Professional techniques / Production

·  Determines the best organization (production, distribution, storage etc) according to existing infrastructure and equipment
·  Supervises stock rotations for soft and alcoholic drinks and catering supplies, and identifies any needs

Team management/ Talent & Culture

·  Helps employees improve their skills and provides support
·  Contribute to guest’s satisfaction by providing high quality services with a warm and friendly and approach.

Commercial / Sales

·  Increases sales through his/her innovative and creative approach and reliable advice
·  Promotes the special offers and full range of products

Management and administration

·  Keeps an inventory of equipment and tracks items coming in and out in coordination with the F&B Manager

Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment

·  Ensures the safety of people and property in the hotel
·  Respects the hotel's commitments to the "Environmental Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc.).

Salary: 12.97 per hour

Qualifications

·  Previous Customer Service Experience.
·  Cash handling experience.
·  Previous Hotel experience in a similar role (Desired).
·  Guest oriented, service minded, and attentive to details.
·  Well organised.
·  Team spirit.
