Job Description
At Rixos Phu Quoc , we don’t just serve drinks — we create experiences. We’re looking for a passionate, guest facing Mixologist who knows their cocktails, loves a busy bar, and understands that great service is the secret ingredient.
What you’ll be doing

Prepare and serve beverages in line with established recipes, brand standards, and service excellence.

Demonstrate full knowledge of bar products, premium liquors, and cocktail recipes (yes, guests will ask).
·
Confidently upsell with every guest interaction — value, not pressure.
·
Deliver a high standard of personalised, friendly, and efficient service at all times.
·
Prepare mise en place, garnishes, and ensure the bar is fully set before opening.
·
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organisation of the bar counter and surrounding areas.
·
Monitor stock levels, minimise wastage, and manage operating supplies responsibly.
·
Handle guest enquiries professionally and build strong guest rapport.
·
Perform cashiering duties accurately, following outlet procedures.
·
Ensure premium liquor displays meet brand presentation standards.
·
Adhere strictly to opening and closing procedures, including stock checks.
·
Support banqueting and other outlets when required.
·
Assist with inventories (monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual).
·
Coach and train new team members through on-the-job training.
·
Attend required trainings and departmental meetings.
What we’re looking for

Previous experience as a Mixologist in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
·
Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage service.
·
A natural host with excellent communication and guest engagement skills.
·
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
·
Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
·
Flexibility to support operational needs across departments when required.
·
Commitment to hygiene, health & safety, and local legislation compliance.
·
Well-groomed, punctual, and proud to represent the Rixos brand.
Qualifications
·
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mixologist in a hotel, resort, or professional bar environment.
·
Vocational training or certification in Food & Beverage / Hospitality is an advantage.
·
Good knowledge of classic cocktails, basic mixology techniques , spirits, wines, and beers.
·
Strong focus on guest service and service standards , with a polite and professional manner.
·
Ability to recommend and upsell beverages confidently to guests.
·
Basic knowledge of cash handling and POS systems .
·
Good understanding of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards .
·
Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume resort environment .
·
Team-oriented, cooperative, and respectful of hierarchy and procedures.
·
Willingness to learn, follow standard operating procedures, and attend training sessions.
