Job Description

·  This position is responsible for all maintenance issues within the Hotel and to deliver an excellent guest experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating projects.
·  Assist the Director of Engineering with managing projects including repairs and replacement of plant and equipment including plumbing, air-conditioning, and electrical.
·  Manage contractor work requests, inductions and follow up on all work assigned.
·  Train and develop members of the handy person & engineering team.
·  Prioritise job requests, assign tasks to the team and follow up on completed jobs as required.
·  Willing to work weekends and day / afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

·  All round handyman skills;
·  Superior problem-solving skills; 
·  Flexible work attitude; 
·  Excellent customer service skills;  
·  Strong desire to work in a service focused environment with a pro-active approach;
·  Leadership and communication skills (verbal, written, and computer);
·  Knowledge of Work Health and Safety regulations;
·  Self-motivated approach and interest to developing yourself through courses
