Job description

Key tasks

• Responsible for the application of the basic health and safety regulations, especially the HACCP standards.
• Check the cleanliness of the following areas related to the kitchen: storage rooms/ cold rooms and various dried storage areas in the kitchen.
• Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues in the establishment: i.e. suppliers and their delivery staff.
• Be involved in any work preparation and M.E.P. for the day.
• Be conscientious about food costs but at the same time ensure that the quality of food produced meets the company standards.
• Set up the kitchen section in which you have been allocated to work each day (ec. Cold section, hot section and pot wash area).
• Carry out the preparatory work in the kitchen: cleaning, slicing, garnitures, etc. in accordance with professional practices.
• Prepare dishes in accordance with the instructions from immediate manager.
• Cook and season all food dishes adhering to the standards set by management in the kitchen.
• Ensure the proper presentation of plates and their correct temperature, in accordance with standards laid down by kitchen management.
• Ensure that food products are stored in accordance with kitchen standards.
