Job Description
Position Summary:
Raffles & Fairmont Doha is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygiene Officer to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our luxurious establishment. The Hygiene Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff by implementing and monitoring hygiene practices and standards in accordance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Hygiene Management:
· Develop and implement hygiene policies and procedures.
· Monitor and enforce compliance with hygiene standards and regulations.
· Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits of all areas, including kitchens, restaurants, guest rooms, and public areas.
· Ensure all hygiene practices meet the standards of local health authorities and international best practices.

Training & Development:
· Train and educate staff on hygiene practices, procedures, and standards.
· Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for new and existing staff.
· Develop training materials and manuals for hygiene practices.
·
Quality Control:
· Monitor food safety and hygiene practices in all food and beverage outlets.
· Ensure proper sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
· Oversee pest control measures and liaise with pest control services.

Reporting & Documentation:
· Maintain accurate records of hygiene inspections, audits, and training sessions.
· Prepare and submit hygiene reports to the management team.
· Document and follow up on corrective actions for any hygiene-related issues.

Compliance & Safety:
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to address any hygiene-related hazards or risks.
· Participate in health and safety committee meetings and initiatives.

Guest Interaction:
· Address guest inquiries and concerns regarding hygiene and cleanliness.
· Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the property.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, or a related field.
· Certified in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and/or ISO 22000.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
· Strong knowledge of local and international hygiene standards and regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
