Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

·  Provide HR support to Operations
·  Recruitment and selection of frontline employees
·  Assists operations with investigations as required, responds to on-site ER/LR inquiries and issues (coaching, counselling, CBA interpretation, labour standards, grievances, etc.) liaising with HR Manager and / or Labour Relations team as required
·  Monitors, reports and analyzes attendance management metrics in accordance with established process.
·  Prepares letters for issuance related to attendance management.  Provides reports and trending information related to attendance, makes recommendations related to attendance management process.
·  Manages employee leaves. Works with operations on timely return to work and ensures any required documentation associated with leaves is up to date and accurate
·  Creates, monitors and maintains metrics related to HR processes
·  Provides support to operations regarding employee engagement initiatives
·  Works to continuously improve processes and create efficiencies (recruitment, attendance management, employee engagement, etc.)

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

·  University Degree or College diploma in Human Resources or a related field
·  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
·  Experience managing attendance 
·  Previous experience in a hospitality or service provider environment is an asset
·  Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
·  Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders
·  Ability to take initiative and work independently
·  Strong ethics and integrity
