Job Description
At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, an exceptional guest experience begins even before check-in and extends throughout every stay. As a Houseperson, the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming – and our guests feel valued.
What you will be doing:
· Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
· Prioritize and respond to guest requests in a timely manner
· Assist Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently
· Daily cleaning and maintenance of Housekeeping storage areas
· Responsible for collecting, sorting and distributing all Housekeeping linen going to and from Fairmont Regional Laundry
· Comply with all department policies, procedures, and service standards
· Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives
· Other reasonable duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Previous experience in a similar environment will be an asset
· Must possess outstanding guest service skills, including professional verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Highly responsible and reliable, demonstrating initiative as required
· Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environment
· Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including:
· Constant standing and walking throughout shift
· Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
