Key tasks
Overview of duties
Welcome guests who arrive late and take care of them until their departure
Contribute to guest satisfaction by providing a high standard of customer service
Responsible for the hotel once the daytime managers are off duty
Responsible for the reception's cash holdings & banking
Establish the closing and nightly activity reports for hotel management
Handle any guest complaints and/or remarks
Handle phone calls and emails
Follow up any customer requests (wake-up calls, taxi, breakfast room service etc)
Assisting bar & kitchen staff during the night when required
Write a report on activities and incidents that occur during the night
Ensure that guest documentation at reception and in the lobby is available and up-to-date
Promote the hotel's range of services in order to increase sales
Encourage customer loyalty by promoting the brand and/or Group loyalty programme
Ensure application of the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
Ensure the safety of people and property in the hotel
Skills / Qualities
Good interpersonal skills, guest oriented and service minded
Team spirit
Good listening skills and ability to anticipate
Good presentation and confident speaking skills
Sales oriented
Copes well under pressure
Good time management and use of own initiative
Experience preferred but not essential
Due to the nature of the industry, flexibility in working hours is essential.
General Working Hours;
36 Hours over 4 nights from 10.30pm until 7.30am
