Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Guest Engagement:  Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure their comfort throughout their dining experience.

· 
Menu Knowledge:  Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.

· 
Order Management:  Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring all special requests are communicated to the kitchen and bar.

· 
Service Coordination:  Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth service flow.

· 
Upselling:  Proactively promote menu items, beverages, and special promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.

· 
Quality Assurance:  Monitor and ensure the quality of food and beverage presentation meets Fairmont standards before serving to guests.

· 
Problem Resolution:  Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.

· 
Team Collaboration:  Collaborate with fellow team members to provide seamless service and contribute to a positive working environment.

· 
Hygiene and Safety:  Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

·  Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred.
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
·  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
·  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
·  Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as per business needs.
·  Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine service, is an advantage.
·  Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
