We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Bakery) to join our culinary team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a key member of our bakery department, you will assist in the preparation and production of high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts for our esteemed guests.
· Assist the Chef de Partie in daily bakery operations and food production
· Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, following established recipes and standards
· Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and timely food service
· Participate in menu planning and development of new bakery items
· Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of bakery supplies and ingredients
· Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
· Ensure all food items meet quality and presentation standards before service
· Maintain a clean and organized work station
· Participate in food tasting panels and quality control checks
· Assist in the preparation and execution of special events and banquets
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
· Diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, or equivalent qualification
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar bakery role, preferably in a 5-star hotel setting
· Proven expertise in various bakery techniques and pastry making
· Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and presentation
· Creativity and passion for developing innovative bakery items
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
· Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
· Proficiency in using bakery equipment and tools
· Basic computer skills for inventory management and recipe documentation
